Candidates

In the City of Pittsburgh, the November 5, 2013 election ballot will include a “special election” for the District 7 seat on the Pittsburgh City Council because the incumbent, Patrick Dowd, is not seeking re-election. LPPGH Chairman Dave Powell, who lives in District 7, will be on the ballot!

District 7 includes Bloomfield, East Liberty, Friendship, Garfield, Highland Park, Lawrenceville, Morningside, Polish Hill, and Stanton Heights.

Press coverage: “5 file petitions to seek Dowd’s council seat”, Bob Bauder, Pittsburgh Tribune-Review, July 31, 2013.

The LP always fields a candidate for President of The United States. Please visit the National Libertarian Party site for more information.

If I voted in the Republican Party Primary for Ron Paul, can I run for office as a Libertarian candidate in the fall?

    Thanks

  2. If I voted in the primary (Ron Paul supporter) am I still eligible to run as a Libertarian in the fall when I change my voter registration?

    Thanks

I would like to run for governor of Pa. I have no political experence. I am currently working in the the field of dialysis as a patient tech. I am unhappy that this state can’t pass a budget but also their is too much govermental power. As governer I would have the voters decide the size and term limits of the state legislature and make them part time just like the stateof New Mexico.
